Description

EPoSS (the European Technology Platform on Smart Systems Integration) and the Knowledge Transfer Network are working together to organise a consortium building workshop for the EU funded IoT Large Scale Pilots.

The upcoming H2020 ICT Work Programme for 2016-2017 will include a call for IoT Large Scale Pilots as follows:
• Pilot 1: Smart living environments for ageing well
• Pilot 2: Smart Farming and Food Security
• Pilot 3: Wearables for smart ecosystems
• Pilot 4: Reference zones in EU cities
• Pilot 5: Autonomous vehicles in a connected environment
• Pilot 6: Water management for resilient cities .

The EPoSS Brokerage Workshop on 26 June 2015 in London is dedicated to:

  1. the organisation of EPoSS participation in the IoT pilots, and
  2. linking EPoSS members, as representatives of the supply side, with representatives of the demand side for successful consortium building.

Programme

The programme of the workshop will include:

1 Plenary Information and Q&A Session

  • European Commission on the IoT Large Scale Pilots,
  • EPoSS on Smart Systems as a major part of the supply side,
  • selected presentations from representatives of the demand side

2 Brokerage Sessions on the individual pilots

  • Supply Side delegates will present short pitches on the technologies/solutions they offer
  • Demand Side delegates will present short pitches on their specific needs

3 Consortium Building Session

  • Supply and Demand side representatives can establish contact and discuss how to proceed with consortium building and project proposals for the individual pilots

Rules for Participation

EPoSS members participating in the event are expected to present their technology offers and solutions for the individual IoT pilots

Demand side representatives are invited to present technology or partner requirements in their application fields. A maximum of 5 minutes (3 slides) will be allocated for each presentation. In order to help participants structure and present their offers and requests, and in order for us to have an overview of the quantity of presentations, we strongly recommend that all participants use the template for presentation provided for the workshop.

For all presentations that will be given, the following information needs to be submitted before 15 June 2015:
• Name and affiliation of presenter
• IoT Pilot addressed
• Short description of the technology or solution offered
or the technology or partner needed.

Additionally, organisations have the opportunity to display offers and requests for technologies or partners. If you wish to display an offer or request, please send a maximum of 1 page A4, font size 20, clearly stating the nature of the offer or request, a short description of the organisation, the technology or solution offered or requested and your contact information by 15 June 2015 to the EPoSS Office.

  • Participation in the EPoSS/KTN Brokerage Workshop is free of charge.
  • Registration is mandatory and subject to confirmation by the organisers due to limited capacities.
